Charity Parnters

When you donate an item you’ve made from a One Stick, Two Stick kit, your hard work will have an immediate impact on someone’s life. We called organizations across the country to locate the ones doing the most with donations they receive. Here’s our list of recommendations, but you certainly don’t have to go by this. Your local homeless shelter, hospital, church, or American Red Cross would likely welcome items made by hand as well.

The Sunshine Foundation
www.sunshinescarves.com
Send donated items to:
Sunshine Scarves
643 N. Curson Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90036

What To Donate? Any hand knit or crochet item, which will be sold at Sunshine’s Scarves.
What Do They Do? Joy Durham raises money for The Sunshine Foundation by selling donated knit and crochet items -- as well as items she designs and makes herself -- through an online boutique called Sunshine Scarves. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of your One Stick, Two Stick item will go directly to The Sunshine Foundation.
Why Sunshine Scarves? Joy’s daughter, Sunshine, lost her eye in an accident when she was 5 years old. After going through the painful and costly experience of outfitting her daughter with a prosthetic eye, Joy saw a way to help other families struggling with the same circumstance. Every item Joy sells through her boutique brings a child one step closer to a medical procedure that is often not covered by insurance, but will enhance his or her life forever.
